Actually, there are plenty of Christians (and other types of theist) who believe in the teachings of their religion, but not the literal text of the Bible. Sure, you and the Evangelicals want to redefine their faith for them, but it doesn’t change their belief.

It is an ipse dixit to claim that evolution is anything more than a theory. You claim it has been proved beyond the shadow of a doubt, which statement is itself gratuitous and doubtful and not reflected by the actual language used within the scientific community, while I say there is not a single example of actual, observed evolution on the macro level. What is more, evolution requires the suspension of several, already-established laws of science. FWIW, the very idea of materialism utterly annihilates itself because an idea is NOT tangible, material, etc. The absurdity involved is like the man who cries, as dogmatically as the day is long, “There are no dogmas!” When the blind lead the blind, we all know what happens.

Third, by the suspension of “laws of science,” I assume you’re referring to thermodynamics? Umm, no.
