“Fluid sexuality” for women, “straight sexuality” for men.

I’m not sure how to summarize this entry by Purplesagefem, because it’s about a lot of things, like the belief in women having a “fluid sexuality,” homophobia, men who have gay sex but want to stay “masculine.” Lots of good connections here. I will add that bisexuality is also part of this phenomenon: I think there’s a lot of people who would admit they are bisexuals if they weren’t so mired in homophobia and patriarchy (and I speak from personal experience on that one).

Although conservatives love to hate gay sex, it’s not really the sex act that pisses them off, it’s the non-conformity to the gender roles that uphold patriarchy.

If two feminine women kiss each other for men’s entertainment, their behavior will be almost universally approved of by men because they are, in fact, fulfilling their role as sex object for the male gaze. What the establishment really hates is unfeminine women who refuse their role in patriarchy by looking androgynous or masculine and opting not to become a wife and mother and not being sexually available or sexually appealing to men. In addition, same-sex behavior between women is viewed as less serious a problem that the same behaviors between men because there’s no penis involved, and there is no consensus that this can even be defined as sex, since the patriarchy defines sex as when a man puts his penis into a thing. Men absolutely love patriarchy-compliant women who have sex with other patriarchy-compliant women, as evidenced by men’s love for threesomes and “lesbian” porn. (And for an excellent critique of so-called “lesbian” porn, see this.) But if a lesbian wears comfortable clothes and wants to be treated as a full human being and sets boundaries that exclude men, then she’ll be punished severely.

Speaking of conservatives, one thing that pisses me off to no end is that religion is obviously the choice and sexuality is not. We all know that. However, religion is the one that gets the most protection. I wish nothing but the worst for Mike Huckabee (what kind of dumbass name is Huckabee, anyway?) and I did not appreciate Jon Stewart sucking up to his puppy dog face flaunting ass.

I’m suddenly reminded of an incident that happened a long time ago. I won’t say what but I will talk about the responses. There are people out there who will fight for the right to dominate me as a sexual non-conformist. There were a number of people who sum up there arguments as “if people can say nice things about homosexuals, then we can say bad things about them.” These people need to get the fuck over themselves because they refuse to have a mutual relationship with people like me. Henceforth, if I ever find someone who vilifies me because they can, I will make them pay. I’m tired of being offended because of the circumstances of my birth, of things I had no control over.

Another thing I wanted to go into detail is that somewhat view myself as a nit of a masculinist in a way. I want to see men explore new possibilities of what it means to be a man without the need of demonizing others. I want to see men care about their fellow man so much that they are not afraid to shed their tears. And, dare I say it, I want to see men get in touch with their feminine side some more, as simple-minded as all that may sound.

I kinda see masculinity and femininity as two sides of the same coin.

We need to break out of the idea that we have to remain in these prison cells. It does not matter how many they think there are.

I’ve been doing some reading as well as some unfortunate venting.

I sent you a link to an article about how the alt-right is ruining everything they touch.

Is this the new low? This may sound naive but when people actually try to do good and raise awareness about legitimate societal ills, these people get offended and transform into neanderthals? I have elaborated a number of times why I believe that the terminologies of “SJW” and “poltical correctness” have been completely reversed. The true social justice warriors are those who believe that everyone is equally both guilty and a victim without having a clue of the dynamics of power and privilege. These people who also preach that “everyone has the right to their opinion” and that free speech is absolute are the true advocates of censorship and politcal correctness, if there really is such a thing.

It’s the ultimate irony, I tell you.

Sorry to comment about unrelated post, but could you please respond to this:

I have already addressed more sophisticated versions of this nonsense on this blog. Honestly, I see no point in debating someone who can’t even use basic logic. This is laughably pathetic even by natalist standards. I might as well write replies to people screaming insults on the street.

The paragraph quoted makes a good point. For homophobic reactionaries it’s about maintaining masculinity (and misogynistic straight men being scared that gays men will treat them the same way they treat women), not about suppressing sex. I’m no advocate for anal penetration myself (though it’s clearly less bad when men do it to other men), but I’m pretty sure that if gay males stuck to non-penetrative sex, conservatives wouldn’t like them any better. In fact they’d seem even less like “real men”.

Yea, you’re probably right, although I can’t say for sure.

Gay men are perverts. Lesbians are traitors. Gay men can be forgiven because at least they are men and desire men. Lesbians commit the unpardonable treason of NOT desiring men. This cannot be forgiven. They simply must restore the imbalance in the cosmos they have created by taking dick from males who consider themselves “lesbians”. It’s oppressive not to.

WTF? I’ve known a couple of lesbians I considered interesting and attractive, but I never considered them potential sex partners. I never gave much of a shit and had, like, normal casual human relationships.

Who knew I was being oppressed? And who knew that if I were a straight man as I am who fancied himself a woman they were oppressing me by not lusting for me?

    • Francois Tremblay September 15, 2016 at 22:33

You should complain. Women exist to serve penises, after all.

      • bacopa September 15, 2016 at 22:46

Yeah, I know all all the patriarchial imperatives, and have sometimes felt and expressed them. But most of the time it’s just not that important.

    Why not sexual liberation?

Because you’re a porn blog, that’s why. Get the fuck out.
